Farewell, Leavers of 2022
LEGO CLUB FILM
Congratulations to the KGS Lego Club on their new production "The Tragedy of the Titanic". The Lego Club is run in the school library at lunchtimes.
IMMERSION TIMETABLE
The immersion timetable is the support available to pupils during study leave;
it's optional, but a great opportunity for last minute questions and advice before the exams.
Celebrating Sporting Success
Womens’ football in Orkney is going from strength to strength.
A number of our pupils at KGS are involved in Orkney Womens’ Football Club and both the U14’s team and the Ladies team have had good wins this month in their respective leagues. The OWFC beat Brora Rangers 9-0 in the Highlands and Islands league yesterday and the U14 team beat Brora Rangers 8-1 in the Highland cup. The U14’s will meet Nairn FC in the semi final at the end of April. Well done girls! |
The Under 17’s Orkney Netballers have done extremely well this season so far.
A number of our KGS pupils play in the Orkney District squad and after various trips South and many games they came first place in the U17 Sirens District North League, beating Perth, Aberdeen, Angus, Shetland and Fife to the top spot. The girls will go on to face the winners of the South and Central sections at the end of April in Glasgow and Edinburgh. A great achievement! Well done to all player and coaches Catherine Johnson and Leah Thomson. |
KGS PUPIL QUESTIONNAIRE - THE COST OF THE SCHOOL DAY
The Equity Group is keen to make sure that all pupils can access the resources that they need at school and that no one is missing out on any part of their education just because they can't afford it.
Please help us to identify what is expensive about coming to school and whether there is anything you think we can do better to support families at KGS.
Your ideas and opinions are really important to us as the more we know, the more we can help.
This questionnaire is completely anonymous - so please be as honest as you can.
