Computer science is a fundamental part of our everyday lives, we interact with computer science all the time - whether we're using our cell phones, shopping online, driving, or just turning on a washing machine. Computer science is also enormously important for industry and economy and is used for conducting and optimizing production in every field of industry.

Understanding different dimensions of computing is part of the necessary skill set for everyone today and in the near future. In the past 10 years we have been introduced to life changing technologies, from walkman to Smart phones, from word processors and short hand dictation to Voice recognition and online dictation software.  The list goes on, tablets that can fly remote devices, camera's that edit and upload photos as we take them, watch live tv and play games on mobile devices, etc.

The Kids React is an interesting video on what kids think of some early technology; Mums and Dads will enjoy this! 

All of these advances in technology give us a variety of tools that we can apply to our life interests and employment. Choosing Computing Science at KGS as a subject will benefit your ability to solve complex, challenging problems that will face you in your future employment choice, we achieve this by developing a skill known today as "Computational Thinking".
