Graphics outcomes

I can;

·        use single point perspective to sketch simple 3D shapes

·        use two & three point perspective to sketch simple shapes

·        display data using line and bar graphs

·        display data using pie charts with data obtained from my class

·        can read and sketch simple 2D drawings

·        can obtain sizes from  2D drawings

·        can use a computer program to create dimensioned 2D drawings

·        can use a computer program to create dimensioned 3D drawings

·        can use a computer program to draw a solid 3D object

·        create step charts with diagrams on screen or paper for a chosen process.
S2 Craft

Learning Outcomes.The agreed intention is that teachers are to meet the following outcomes but it is up to the individual how this is done. 

  • Workshop Safety: Hazards in the workshop, PPE, safe working practices.
  • Basic Wood Theory: Main categories, Tree to Timber conversion process, manufactured boards.
  • Basic Metal Theory: Main categories, properties of some metals, some manufacturing processes used to create metals from their raw material state.
  • Basic Plastic Theory: Origins of plastics, refinary process, types of plastic.
  • Basic Design Process: Aesthetics, Function, Ergonomics and Manufacture.
  • Basic Hand and Machine Tools: Tool identification, safe working practices.
  • Manufacture of artifacts from a given range of materials. Marking out to given dimensions, wasting, forming and finishing processes.


Technology outcomes

I can;

·        draw system diagrams showing input, process and output

·        describe three methods used to generate electricity

·        name three fossil fuels, and am aware of their impact on the environment

·        describe the function of Not, Or, And gates

·        solve and test given problems using logic gates

·        design and draw circuits which control bulbs and motors

·        describe how triangulation makes strong structures

·        recognise cantilever and suspension bridges

·        to gear up or gear down an output from a given input

·        do simple calculations necessary to balance a pivoted beam
