Pupils who achieve Higher Computing Science can consider opportunities in tertiary studies and fantastic employment opportunities, with a national and international demand for IT and computing related skills at a premium, the many opportunities can lead to an exciting and rewarding start in life.
In this Course, and its component Units, there will be an emphasis on skills development and the application of those skills. Assessment approaches will be proportionate, fit for purpose and will promote best practice, enabling learners to achieve the highest standards they can.
The Higher Computing Science course at KGS uses the portfolio approach in assessment of the units, students find this engaging as they choose the context that is in their interest, evidence for each outcome is achieved as they work through tasks and projects.
