SCHOOL CLOSURE TASKS
Below are instructions and guidance on how to continue with PE in the coming weeks while school is closed.
The Orkney Peedie Olympics 2020 has begun! From Monday 15th June there will be a series of challenges for pupils to complete since there is no traditional sports day. This has been developed by Orkney's amazing itinerant PE staff, along with Active Schools, and so is also being ran in a number of the local primary schools. Therefore you may be able to compete against any siblings you have!

The KGS PE department have set the KGS pupils a challenge to collectively run or cycle 154 miles, (the distance from Inverness to Kirkwall), in a week. So far, 44.7 miles have been achieved leaving a target of 109.3 miles by Wednesday 6th at midday!
To contribute your miles, send a screenshot of your run or cycle to the KGS PE Instagram or alternatively by email to "[email protected]".
We recommend using the Strava app if you have a smart phone. Alternatively, you can use the measuring tool on google maps to record your exercise. Goodluck!
