Meet The Future You Quiz
The Science department aim to encourage pupils to question information and challenge hypotheses in order to gain a better understand of the world around them. Pupils build skills that are essential throughout life across literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing. They learn to assess and manage risk, process, present and analyse information as well as working individually and as part of a team. We want our students to become scientifically literate citizens making informed decisions about their future.
In S1 and S2 pupils rotate around topics that include concepts from Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Into S3 they start to specialise into specific subject areas. They can then go on to develop skills through National 4 Science into National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We also offer the Science Baccalaureate to our S6 pupils.
