WHY RMPS?
In preparation for S2 making subject choices in the coming months the RMPS department asked S2 the question why should they choose RMPS? Two former pupils, Phillip Matthews and Fionn Webb, came in at the instance of Mr. Theo Ogbhemhe and spoke about how the skills and knowledge they learnt and developed through studying RMPS whilst at KGS have impacted and benefited them in their studies and life beyond school. RMPS examines issues that everyone needs to be aware of relating to the modern world and it is crucial that we ALL have an understanding and respect for all beliefs and views, whether we agree with them or not. RMPS allows us to evaluate other people’s beliefs so that we can form our own thinking and be able to express our own opinions on contemporary issues (moral, religious and philosophical issues).
