Dear Parents and Carers This week has been full of awards and celebrations as pupils were invited to receive their Duke of Edinburgh awards in the Council Chambers, along with us saying goodbye and thank you to Mrs Harvey who has been such an important part of our school for many years. We have 1 final week until the Easter break and I know all pupils and staff have thoroughly earned the break! Thank you to all our parents and carers who continue to support us so fantastically – with your support, anything is possible! Today’s update has 3 notices:

As part of this support Police Scotland will be visiting the school next week to run interactive sessions with groups of pupils in all Year Groups on the subject of Hate Crime. These will be really interesting and worthwhile sessions! Thank you to all parents/carers for their continued support. Universal Support (Ms Devlin) Mr Stanley (our librarian) continues to do a fantastic job at keeping the support pages on our website updated. We’ve been incredibly lucky to have had contact from some brilliant organisations this week including Relationship Scotland (Orkney), Orkney Alcohol and Drugs Partnership and LGBT Youth Scotland. We look forward to adding more information to these pages in the coming weeks but please, if you or your child would like any support, reach out to us and we’ll try to coordinate this for you!
Dear Parents and Carers Thank you for all your support again this week. We know this is a long term, but we are proud of how our pupils continue to focus in lessons and make the most of opportunities beyond the classroom too. Well done in particular to our senior pupils who are working so hard in preparation for their national examinations. Our update today has 3 notices:

A plea to support our dress code (Mr Harvey and Mrs Watson)All staff are aiming to keep windows and doors open in classrooms to support good ventilation and we know this can mean the rooms can sometimes be cold. When the weather warms up, we’ll be asking all pupils to remove outer clothing layers unless they display the school logo. For now though, please encourage your child to wear an item of their dress code – even if it’s under a coat to keep them warm. Your support with this is gratefully received.
